Anyone can make an excuse not to get moving, but from here on out that person will not be you! With the New Year here make it a priority to exercise, but this should last longer than just the first week of 2017. This needs to be added into your lifestyle and below are just a few reasons as why:
- Better Mood
- More Energy
- Good Night’s Sleep
- Increased Confidence
- Less Stress
- More Productivity
- Weight Control
- Longer Life
- Strong Bones and Muscles
- Healthier Heart
- Lower Risk of Cancer
- Decreased Arthritis Pain
- Increased Time Spent with Family and Friends/Workout Buddy
- Less Time Spent Doing Other Things
Studies related to researching an increased level of exercise and activity have proven to show that endorphins (the ‘feel good’ chemical) are released at a greater rate which support a better mood, less fatigue and a higher self-esteem. Exercising on a regular basis has also proven to reduce our stress hormones, adrenaline and cortisol, and assist in falling asleep quicker and more deeply. Other studies have proven that being more active can reduce your chance of certain cancers (colon, breast and lung) as well as lowering a person’s chance of heart disease, improve blood cholesterol levels and control blood pressure. For these reasons, let’s get moving people!
