Replacing your kids’ regular nightly bowl of cereal with a nutritious bowl of warm soup will help them sleep better, grow healthier, and prevent them from eating almost 4 teaspoons of added sugar. Winter pea soup. Five ingredients, 10 minutes.
- 1 cup of frozen organic peas
- 2 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/4 onion, diced
- 1/4 avocado
- Sea salt
Heat olive oil in a large saucepan, brown onions, then add peas and stock. Cook for 7 minutes. Add salt as desired. Pour into a blender and add avocado. Blend for 30 seconds. Voila! Pour into a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil and lemon zest.
