It’s family movie night, and of course the first snack we think of is popcorn! We all know that popcorn can be a healthier snack, just as long as we don’t add butter or salt. But sometimes, plain popcorn can seem boring for a lot of kids and adults.
Here’s a recipe for some tasty edamame that is easy to make and you can pop them right into your mouth just like popcorn! You can even mix the edamame to your popcorn to add more flavor and texture. The kids will love them!
If you’re looking for a way to spice up your family movie night with a healthy and delicious snack, then this recipe is for you!
- 12-ounce package frozen edamame, de-shelled
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place frozen edamame into colander and rinse under cold water to thaw. Spread strained edamame into a 9×13 baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with parmesan and pepper.
Bake in oven about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Tip: Mix in some unflavored popcorn to add in more texture and variety to your healthy movie time snack!
