Seasonal produce is best to purchase to ensure freshness, best quality, and best taste! Most seasonal produce didn’t travel long distances to the grocery store. Seasonal produce tends to come from local farmers and is cheap too. It can be fun to purchase seasonal produce to try different flavors throughout the year and make seasonal flavorful dishes that your family will enjoy!

Here’s a list of Summer Seasonal Produce:
Apples
Apricots
Avocados
Beets
Bell Peppers
Blackberries
Blueberries
Cantaloupe
Carrots
Celery
Cucumbers
Green Beans
honeydew Melon
Limes
Lemons
Mangos

You can also use this time to introduce new produce to your family! Here are a few tips to follow:

1.Serve them often and eat them yourself
2.Avoid labeling your kids with their food preferences
3.Start with vegetables you know your child likes
4.Avoid coaxing, bribing, bullying and/or threatening
5.Let them play with their food
