Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers that have raised our future leaders! Don’t forget that all mothers come in different shapes and sizes (in many cases mothers could be a dad or a grandmother). Nonetheless, let’s take this time to celebrate all the amazing things mothers have done for us!

 

Mother’s Day doesn’t have to mean eating out at a five-star restaurant or splurging on expensive gifts for yourself or other mothers you may know. The most important gift you can give all the amazing mothers in your life is good health, so that you can spend many more days together. It’s important that on this Mother’s Day you engage in healthy activities that you, your mother, and your family can do together.

 

Plan a meal together! Celebrate Mother’s Day as a family by cooking some healthy meals together. Check out this website for some delicious recipes!

 

Picnic at the Park! May is full of sunshine; why not take advantage of it! Head to a local park, pack a healthy picnic, and bring a Frisbee or soccer ball to play with your family.

 

Go for a Hike! Take a stroll down the street with your entire family or take an adventure to the nearest hiking trails.
